what is art, and who can sell on beetlebird?

we aim to make this site a collection of works ranging from fine arts to crafts and everything in between. anyone who makes "art" can sell it on beetlebird.com

at beetlebird.com, you can either buy or sell art.

buying art - simply browse the category by selecting "browse" at the top of any page, and when you've found something you like just follow the on screen instructions. by providing your name, email, and contact information in the checkout form, you'll send an email to the artist with details of your purchase. it's then up to you to communicate with the artist and arrange the details of your payment and delivery of your purchase. beetlebird.com is not part of the payment process and does not get involved in the buyer to seller transaction. we provide a simple platform for connecting artists with art buyers.

selling art - you must register with beetlebird to sell on our site. by simply selecting "sell" at the top of any page and providing a category, description, and image (or images - up to three are allowed and one is required), you can post a work of art on beetlebird.com. there is absolutely no charge to post on beetlebird. everything you post is available for users to view while searching categories. your entire collection is available in your art gallery, located at:

the transactions on beetlebird.com are made between buyers and sellers. our platform allows buyers and sellers of art to communicate. prices are determined by sellers, and purchases are made through a single online form. this form sends the product details and transaction summary to both the buyer and seller, upon which both parties should act by sending the artwork and the payment. beetlebird is not part of this exchange.

we do have a comments section on each artist's gallery, where registered users can post comments about artwork, or transactions with the seller. this is a great place to ask questions or make comments about transactions.
